Almonds, honey, lemon juice, myrtle berries, chocolate

Usually called "Sospiri di Ozieri" (Whispers from Ozieri!), these delicacies do indeed originate from this beautiful little town in the province of Sassari, with its rich traces of prehistorical and medieval times.
These sweets are made from finely sieved almond flour, at once opalescent and richly textured.
After being flavoured with the lemon and myrtle-berry juice, the dough is gently moulded into small cylinder-shaped forms and then covered in a glaze
of softest chocolate.
