Flour, eggs, sugar, lard, sultanas, almonds

Vitzi is the people of Bitti's own name for their village. But this topological nomenclature is not the only particularity of this cake as it differs enormously from the similarly named Pabassinas from the Campidano, except for its use of sultanas.
These cakes are rich and substantial, as raisins and chopped almonds are added to the dough.
Although traditionally once baked only during the autumn months, the
Papassinos are delicious to nibble with a cup of coffee throughout the whole year.
